How to tie it
Slide the 3.3mm tungsten bead to the eye of the jig hook; start the waxed yellow Nano Silk behind it, building a small taper that locks the bead in place (wax or a drop of super glue stops the slippery thread spinning).
Wrap a thread base down the shank, stopping just short of the curve.
Fold one or two strands of Crystal Flash over on itself two or three times and tie it in at the rear as a short tail stub; trim it back to just a hint of flash.
Tie in the small hot-yellow wire and lay it along the back/top of the shank down to the tail, so the wire shows through the finished body.
Wrap a smooth yellow thread body down and back up, then rib forward with a few open turns of the wire; helicopter the wire off.
Form a dubbing loop, load it with a prepared olive CDC feather (a touch of wax in the loop helps grip it), spin, and wind one or two turns as a collar, stroking the fibers back on each pass.
Pinch the CDC off to length and pick out excess bulk with tweezers until you like the density; whip finish the yellow thread.
Attach the fluorescent pink 70-denier thread behind the bead, build a neat hot spot, whip finish and trim.
