How to tie it
REAR HOOK: Place the rear stinger hook in the vise, start thread behind the eye and wrap to the bend. Tie in a white marabou feather on top, one shank-length long, and add a wrap or two under it to prop the tail up.
Tie three strands of pearl Krystal Flash over the marabou, extending just past the tips, then tie an olive marabou feather over that at the same length.
Taper the end of an olive rabbit zonker strip and tie it in at the bend, hide down, with three or four tight wraps so the fur reaches the tail tips; make a couple of wraps in front of the hide to stand it up.
Tie in a white dubbing brush in front of the zonker, palmer it forward in open spiral wraps to just shy of the eye, stroking fibers rearward each turn, then tie off and pick out with a bodkin. Pull the zonker strip over the top and tie it down behind the eye. Whip finish and coat with UV resin. Trim the brush to a tapered baitfish shape.
FRONT HOOK: Place the front stinger hook in the vise and add 5-6 wraps of.025 lead wire mid-shank to keel it; cover the lead with thread and coat with super glue.
Tie in a length of coated wire along the shank, fold the tag back and lock it down so it cannot pull out; run the wire to past the bend and back. Thread a bead onto the wire, pass the rear hook's eye onto the wire, feed the wire back through the bead and cinch to a small vertical loop, then lash the wire down tight along the shank and coat the tie-in with super glue.
Tie in an olive rabbit zonker at the rear of the front shank, hide down, so the fur reaches the trailing hook; stand it up with wraps in front.
Tie in and palmer a white dubbing brush forward in open wraps, pick it out, then tie in a pink dubbing brush and wrap it three or four turns; pick out and split the fibers on top. Pull the zonker over the top and tie it down.
Whip finish, coat, and trim the front section to a tapered profile matching the tail. Restart thread and tie in olive Laser Dub on top and white Laser Dub on the bottom just behind the eye, pull rearward and dam it back with thread wraps, then pick out and comb.
Separate the dubbing to expose thread, glue on a pair of 3D eyes, build a small thread head, whip finish and cement.
