  • Hook Curved emerger/scud hook, 12-16
  • Thread Light pink 8/0

Materials

  • Shuck Amber Antron (Sparse tuft)
  • Abdomen Pale pink/tan superfine (Thin pinch)
  • Thorax Reddish-brown superfine (Small pinch)
  • Wing Light dun CDC (1 feather, sparse)
  • Hackle Light dun hackle (1-2 turns, sparse)

How to tie it

  1. Mount the hook and start the thread mid-shank.
  2. At the bend tie in a sparse amber Antron trailing shuck, a half shank long.
  3. Dub a thin, tapered pale pink-tan abdomen forward over the back half of the shank.
  4. Tie in a sparse light-dun CDC wing, upright and short, at the front of the abdomen.
  5. Dub a reddish-brown thorax around the wing base.
  6. Wind 1-2 sparse turns of light dun hackle at the thorax, sweep the fibers slightly back, and whip finish.
