Put a Firehole 718 (#20-24) in the vise and start white Semperfli Nanosilk behind the eye.
Tie in two paintbrush-bristle tail fibers about a hook-gap long on top of the shank (an oval/pinch wrap locks them on top).
Tie in a strand of black UTC monofilament on the near side for the rib, and advance the thread forward.
Tie in a length of Uni-Mylar flash along both sides of the shank running rearward, arranged so green faces one way and orange shows when the material is pulled forward.
Wind a thin, flat thread body, then spiral the mono rib forward over the flash body and tie it off; whip finish the body.
Coat the flashed body with UV resin, pinching the sides to sink it into the thread wraps for a ribbed look, and cure.
Build a small, flat white Nanosilk thorax.
Tie in ten strands of cashmere monkey hair across the top of the thorax and split them five to a side for legs.
Whip finish a small head, color the top of the fly with a black marker, add a touch of UV resin over the top, and cure.
