Materials
- Bead Gold bead (1)
- Tail Black marabou wisp (short)
- Body Black/blue Ice Dub (slim)
- Wingcase Black flash (over)
- Legs Black hen (sparse)
How to tie it
- Slide the gold bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start black thread behind the bead.
- Tie in a short wisp of black marabou at the bend as a stubby tail.
- Dub a slim body of black/blue Ice Dub forward to the thorax area.
- Tie in a strand of black flash over the back to be pulled forward as a wingcase.
- Dub a slightly fuller thorax up behind the bead.
- Pull the black flash forward over the thorax and bind it down as the wingcase.
- Tie in a few sparse black hen fibers each side as legs, then whip finish behind the bead and cement.
