Materials
- Trailing shuck Cream semperfli cashmere monkey (Antron or Z-Lon)
- Shellback Black floss (Evazote foam strip)
- Rib Opal material (tinsel)
- Body Brown permanent marker (snowshoe rabbit-foot dubbing)
- Wing Cream semperfli cashmere monkey (Antron or Z-Lon)
- Collar Black ostrich herl (webby hackle)
- Head Brown permanent marker (snowshoe rabbit-foot dubbing)
How to tie it
- Mount the dry hook and start tan thread, running it to the bend.
- Tie in a sparse cream Antron trailing shuck about half a shank length at the bend.
- Bind a strip of black Evazote foam and the opal tinsel rib at the bend, leaving both hanging back.
- Dub a brown snowshoe body forward to the 70% mark.
- Pull the foam shellback over the top and rib forward with 4-5 open turns of tinsel, then tie off.
- Tie a cream Antron wing flat over the back, reaching the bend, then wind a black webby hackle two turns and clip the top flat.
- Dub a small snowshoe head in front of the hackle and whip finish.
