How to tie it
- Run the gold bead to the eye, mount the barbless hook, and start black thread at the bend.
- Tie in two brown biots splayed into a short V tail about half a shank long.
- Bind the gold tinsel and a strip of pearl Mylar, then wrap a full peacock herl body forward to just behind the bead.
- Counter-rib the body with 4-5 open turns of gold tinsel to protect the fragile herl.
- Pull the pearl Mylar flat over the top of the body and bind behind the bead as the flashback.
- Tie two white biots in a flat V over the back, curving down and reaching the hook point, shiny side up.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement the head.
