How to tie it
Slide the bead onto the balance pin and mount the hook.
Lash the pin along the shank with the bead reaching one bead width past the eye and glue it. The fly must ride level to mimic a suspended callibaetis nymph.
At the bend tie in a short speckled tail half a shank long and bind in fine copper wire.
Dub a slim tan-gray abdomen two-thirds of the way to the bead, then rib it with 4-5 open wire turns.
Tie in a pheasant-tail wingcase, dub a slightly fatter thorax to the bead, and pull the wingcase over.
Add a sparse partridge collar swept back for legs, then whip finish behind the bead.
