- Hook 2X-long streamer hook, #10 (8-12)
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Bead Black or gold bead (1, 3mm)
- Marabou Olive/black marabou (1 sparse clump (tail))
- Krystal Flash Pearl flashabou (few strands)
- Chenille or dubbing Olive/black chenille or dubbing (body)
- Saddle hackle Matching saddle hackle (1 feather (palmer))
How to tie it
- Slide a bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
- Tie in a marabou tail off the bend about one shank long, plus a few strands of flash each side; keep it sparse.
- Tie in a saddle hackle by the tip and a length of chenille at the base of the tail.
- Wrap the chenille forward to just behind the bead for the body and tie off.
- Palmer the hackle forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns over the body, tie off behind the bead and trim the tip.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
