- Thread Black 70 denier
Materials

- Round rubber legs Black ostrich herl (1 pair, medium)
- Deer or bleached elk hair Natural deer hair (1 small clump (wing/head))
- Superglue Clear head cement (to lock tie-downs)
How to tie it
- Start black thread and lay a base along the shank.
- Tie a narrow strip of 2mm black foam in at the bend and bind it down the shank, leaving a short tag off the back for the abdomen.
- Pull the foam forward over the shank and bind at the 70% mark to form a segmented body, adding a thread crease between segments.
- Tie in black rubber legs on each side at the waist, splayed out.
- Clean and stack a small clump of deer hair, then tie it in as a downwing over the body reaching to the bend, butts forward.
- Pull the butts back and bind them to form a small bullet head.
- Whip finish, add a drop of superglue to the tie-downs, and trim the legs to about a shank long.
