Start the Tan UTC 140 thread on the Tiemco 811S and figure-8 the Large Black or Nickel Brass Eyes onto the shank until they are secure, then run the thread back to the bend.
Invert the hook if it helps. Snip a small tip of Hot Orange Arctic Fox and bind it under the bend so it covers the bend without reaching past it — this is the egg sack. Trim the butts and turn the hook upright again.
Tie a few strands of Black Krystal Flash along each side of the hook, at least three shank lengths long to start.
Tie one Tan or Orange Medium Barred Rubber Leg along each side, stretching it slightly as you bind. Trim both legs to twice the shank length and even with each other, then trim the Black Krystal Flash just longer than the legs.
Rough up the tip of a length of 20lb hard mono with scissors or pliers so the thread has something to bite, then bind it on top of the shank with tight wraps all the way back to the bend.
Cut two short equal lengths of Pearl Flat Diamond Braid and bind one along each side of the fly as you did the legs and flash. Fold them back out of the way.
Strip the fluff from the base of a Tan Extra Select Marabou plume to expose the fine tips, gather it, tie it in by the tip, and wrap the thread back to the rear and forward again. Twist the marabou and wrap it forward as the body; capture it and trim. A few long stray fibers can stay — they read as legs.
Cut a piece of Tan or Light Brown Zonker Rabbit Strip about a hook length long. Sneak the thread under the brass eyes and bind the strip on the near side just behind the eyes; repeat on the far side with a strip of matching length.
Advance the thread in front of the eyes, pull the Pearl Flat Diamond Braid forward over the top, bind it down and trim.
Slide the Silver or Black 1/8" Cyclops Beads onto the mono, bring the mono forward into a loop standing two to three beads high, and capture the loop centered on top of the hook with hard, biting thread wraps. Leave the loop slack so the beads can move and click — the keel sinks the fly hook-up.
Whip finish twice, brush Zap A Gap onto the head, and straighten the rabbit-strip claws.
