• Hook Curved caddis/pupa style hook
• Thread Red

Materials

• Body Vinyl rib

How to tie it

1. Fix the hook in the vise and lay a thread base of red thread, leaving about an eye length of room behind the eye for the head.
2. Tie the vinyl rib in just behind the eye, with the rounded side facing the correct way so it wraps on properly.
3. Wind the thread back over the rib toward the bend, then bring the thread forward again.
4. Wrap the vinyl rib back along the hook with a little tension, each wrap tight against the last, to give the segmentation.
5. Take the rib forward to just behind the eye, leaving space for a head, and tie it off with several secure thread wraps because the material springs back.
6. Trim the rib close, tidy the head with a few wraps and whip finish.
