How to tie it
Slide the pink slotted bead to the jig eye and start red thread behind it.
Tie in a short pinch of Coq de Leon fibers at the bend for a tail no longer than half a shank.
At the bend catch in a strip of anti-static bag film and a length of fine wire, then run thread forward to just behind the bead in a smooth, thin underbody.
Wrap the film forward in slightly overlapping turns to build a slim segmented abdomen, tie off behind the bead and trim.
Counter-wrap the wire forward in 5-6 open turns to rib and reinforce the film, then helicopter the tag to break it clean.
Build a small red thread collar behind the bead as a hot spot and whip finish.
Optionally bar the back with a few strokes of black marker, then coat the whole body in a thin layer of UV resin and cure for a durable, shiny shell.
