- Hook Articulated: trailer hook joined to front hook/shank, Rear #2-4, front 1/0-2
- Thread Flesh/pink 140-210 denier
Materials
- Connection Heavy braid or wire + beads (1 hinge)
- Body/wing Flesh (cream/pink/tan) rabbit strips (2-3 strips)
- Hot-spot collar Pink egg yarn or Estaz (Small pinch)
- Head Cone or bead (1, optional)
How to tie it
- Mount the rear hook, start thread, and tie in a flesh rabbit strip at the bend, trailing a shank length past for a wiggling tail.
- Palmer a second rabbit strip forward as a collar to build a fat rear body; whip finish and cement.
- Connect the rear hook to the front hook or shank with heavy braid or wire so the joint hinges freely.
- On the front, tie in and wrap a flesh rabbit strip forward, stroking the fur back each turn, to the 80% mark.
- Dub a pink egg-yarn or Estaz hot-spot collar behind the eye.
- Add a cone or bead at the head for weight if wanted, build a thread head, whip finish, and cement.
