Classic Recipe

Materials
- Tail Red floss (short)
- Body Black chenille (full)
- Hackle Grizzly, palmered (full)
- Head Fl. red thread (built up)
How to tie it
- Start black thread at the bend and tie in a short tag of red floss extending just past the bend.
- Tie in a grizzly hackle by its tip at the bend, then tie in the black chenille.
- Wrap the chenille forward to form a full body, stopping short of the eye, and tie off.
- Palmer the grizzly hackle forward through the body in evenly spaced turns and tie off behind the eye.
- Switch to fluorescent red thread and build up a distinct hot red head.
- Whip finish and cement the head.
