Wrap the quill forward in tight, touching turns to the 60% mark for a segmented body; tie off and snip, then seal with a thin coat of UV resin.
Stack a short slate-dun CDC under-wing at the 60% mark, then add a taller, brighter clump of UV-orange hi-vis fibers on top and post the whole wing upright.
Dub a small natural-fox squirrel thorax around the post base to lock the wing standing.
Whip finish at the eye and leave the hi-vis post tall for visibility.
