Build a long base of Red thread from behind the eye back to just over the hook point - not quite to the bend.
Cut a 6mm White Round Foam booby tube in half (one tube makes two flies) and cinch one half in as the Eyes just behind the hook eye.
Whip finish behind the eyes to lock them - flip a rotary vise upside down for a clear view - and add a touch of UV resin so they cannot spin.
Knock the corners off the foam eyes with scissors so they look rounder; no need to be precise.
Work the thread back to the rear tie-in point. Take three to five strands of UV Pearl Crystal Flash, cinch one side in, fold the strands forward over the top and tie down the other side so flash lies along both flanks. Leave them long for now.
With the thread at the rear, drape the Synthetic Rabbit Strip over the shank so its front end sits just at the foam eyes, then pull it back over the rear tie-in point and cinch it down.
Lift the strip, bring the thread forward underneath it, then pull the strip forward tight up under the eyes and bind it down.
Sweep any fibers back and trim the excess strip, leaving no more than an eighth of an inch of core as a small extra body spot at the front.
Trim the tail to about one and a half to one and three-quarter inches and trim the flash to match.
Flip the vise again for a clear view and whip finish behind the eye with two or three turns.
