Loop Stiff mono (e.g. Mason hard mono or offshore leader mono)
Body Pearl crystal estaz
Wing Rabbit strip (tied white, pink and tan)
Adhesive Super glue, head cement
How to tie it
Start monofilament thread on a size 1 Mustad Classic 34007SS hook.
Tie on a piece of stiff mono and form a loop off the back to stop the rabbit strip fouling round the hook.
Tie in pearl crystal estaz.
Cut a rabbit strip to length and tie it in at about the hook point, parting the hair at the tie-in point to make it easier to wrap, keeping wraps tight.
Use super glue to lock down the rabbit strip and make the estaz durable.
Pull the estaz tight and wrap it forward for a flashy body, leaving a gap behind the hook eye; cut off and tie down neatly.
Push the estaz out to the sides, fold the rabbit strip forward over the top and tie it down; optionally pull the estaz down and add super glue (carefully, as it soaks into the estaz).
Whip finish and apply head cement; eyes are optional.
