Materials

  • Body Mink fur, dubbed rough (full shank)
  • Wing Elk or deer hair (1 clump)
  • Head Translucent closed-cell foam (1 piece)

How to tie it

  1. Dub the shank with mink fur, picked out roughly rather than smoothed down, so the fibers stand away from the hook.
  2. Tie in a clump of elk or deer hair as a wing, angled up and back over the body.
  3. Cover the head with a small piece of translucent closed-cell foam, bound down just behind the eye, and whip finish.
