Start the grey thread just behind the eye and lay a thread base to the bend.
Tie in a goose biot at the rear with the dark edge down and the tip pointing forward, with the tip run forward to where the thread started.
Put a small drop of superglue on the shank, then wrap the biot forward in fairly tight overlapping turns, using the biot's natural curve, up to where the thread started.
Tie off the biot, secure it with a couple of turns of thread, and trim the stub.
Take two CDC feathers, line up the button ends, clump them like a bunch of hair, and tie them in on top at the front edge of the biot body; trim the butts.
Tie in an undersized grizzly hackle at the front edge of the wing, and bring the thread forward over the CDC stubs and stem.
Dub a very thin strand of super fine dubbing from the base of the wing forward, finishing with bare thread at the front, for the thorax.
Spiral wrap the hackle forward with a little space between turns, three or four turns to the hook eye, and tie off.
Trim the stem, make a couple of turns for a thread head, and whip finish.
