Reference Recipe
- Hook standard dry fly, 10-16
- Thread gray 70 denier
Materials
- Tail Grizzly and brown hackle (mixed hackle fibers)
- Body Adams gray (superfine dubbing)
- Wing White uni stretch (calf tail, down-wing)
- Hackle Grizzly and brown hackle (1 each)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start thread.
- Tie a mixed grizzly and brown tail one shank length long.
- Dub a slim gray body to the 70% mark.
- Stack a white calf-tail wing and tie it down-wing over the body reaching the bend, butts trimmed.
- Tie in grizzly and brown hackle at the front.
- Wind 4-5 turns and tie off, then whip finish at the eye.
