Slide the gold bead to the eye (if used), mount the hook, and start thread behind the bead. Wrap a thread base back to the bend.
Split a pair of brown goose biots around the shank tip so they flare into a V one shank length long. The splay mimics a stonefly's spread tails.
Catch in the gold wire at the tail base, then tie in 3-4 peacock herls by their tips.
