Start the Semperfli Nanosilk 18/0 behind the eye and snip the tag.
Tie in the Stripped Hackle Stem (Grizzly) and bind it down the shank, stopping just a little into the bend.
Wrap the stem forward in touching turns - about 17 wraps on a size 24. Every 10 or so wraps, loosen up and shove the wraps back so everything stays locked and touching. Stop at the thorax point, lock the stem down with thread, and snip the excess.
Take a couple of clean-up wraps, then apply a small amount of Deer Creek Diamond Fine UV Resin over the body - it magnifies the segments underneath, fills the gaps, and protects against staining from moss. Cure it all the way around.
Lay a short length of Flurofibre (Black) across the thorax and lock it with a single thread wrap, one leg standing out each side. Cording the thread slightly helps put that wrap exactly where you want it. Sweep both legs back and cut them off at the end of the body.
Tie in the UTC Glow Tinsel (White) on top of the thorax, splayed to either side the way a Prince Nymph wing sits: a couple of wraps back, then draw the tag end over and lock it in on the far side of the hook.
Draw the wings back and take a wrap behind them - this locks them in place and clears the eye. Build the head with a couple of extra turns and whip finish.
Hold the wings together and cut them on a shallow angle to length, then splay them apart with the tips of your scissors or a needle, rounding them off if you like.
With the tip of a needle, lightly coat the top of the head with UV Resin, working around the wing bases, and cure.
